Cape Forests (The Netherlands)
Kaapse Bossen, which is freely translated as Cape Forests is located in the National Park Utrechtse Heuvelrug. It is a large area located in the center of The Netherlands, which is mostly covered by forests. The total area is 23 000 hectares which is equal to 230 square kilometers. The Cape Forests' area is 423 hectares (4.23 km2). On the Garmin Connect website, I have managed to find a nice route which is a hike through the forest. The pictures below were taken only minutes after I entered the forest.
National Park Zuid-Kennemerland (The Netherlands)
The National Park Zuid-Kennemerland was formally established in 1995 and is one of 20 national parks in The Netherlands. A unique nature area for activities like walking, biking, horseback riding and swimming. Most of the areas in the park are free and accessible on roads and paths between sundown and sunset. I visited this park in June 2013 and I would like to share my experiences with you. The visit to this park was totally random. A quick look on Google Maps and this area caught my eye. It's around 100km from where I live so it took me around 1 hour driving to get there.
Olympus TG-2 meets Solargorilla
Did it ever happen to you that your camera battery went dead in the middle of nowhere? If so, you'll probably remember how frustrated you were. Just before you wanted to take that perfect shot. So what do you do to prevent such a disaster? Is the combination of the Olympus TG-2 camera with the Solargorilla panel the answer? Why did I choose the Olympus Tough TG-2? The camera has a good nice solid feel to it. It has a weight of 230 grams and dimensions of 112 x 67 x 29 mm. Waterproof up to 15 meters and 2 meters shockproof.
